About This Game

After an affair King Lucas had with the Witch of Sausan, the Queen left him and remarried in an adjacent kingdom, and now his daughters are the only ones left at his side. Due to his love for them, each and every time they get lost in the castle, he moves heaven and earth to get them back and he only resorts to the most intrepid knights in order to find them. Will you be one of those knights?

Play for the favour of King Lucas and the three princesses' love. A castle will be randomly built and you must find them inside a little area of it. You can move horizontally and vertically through the rooms until you reach your goal. Once you succeed, the castle will become a little bit more difficult: a larger area will be unlocked... and the experience will become more hardcore when the princess becomes lost inside a fully unlocked castle with more than 1,000 rooms.

Features:

• Get money and buy upgrades such us compasses and crystal balls, more weapons such us magical sticks and swords, or harder shields to protect yourself from the giant spiders, the armored rats, the piranhas and the many other haunted beings in the castle.
  
  
• Enroll for collective multiplayer searches where you will be able to compete with your friends or with other unknown players. It’s simple: one princess, one winner... the first to find her.
  
  
• Talk and interact with a lot of NPCs who will play different funny and unexpected roles through your quest (yes, there's some hidden story underneath the arcade!).

We absolutely love retro gaming and this has been engrained in King Lucas's DNA. This is a metroidvania game with 2.5D graphics and classic game mechanics for the delight of platform, action and adventure games lovers as well as you who didn't live the 80's and 90's; this is an opportunity for you to taste a bit of that classic feeling with the graphics and sound quality of today.

King Lucas' castle is made up of hundreds of interconnected rooms, which are reconfigured every time a new search begins. These rooms have been hand designed one by one (we don´t use procedural level design!) and there's no two equal gameplays. i like it. thoguht it'd be like rogue legacy at 1st but it's it's own game. sort of a slow platformer with a lot of focus on random dungeons. unlike rogue legacy the dugeons dont randomize every death and i'd say much much longer. 3rd stage took like 40 mins to find the goal and it looks like the maps can get 6 times as big as that.

i havnt gotten deep in the game but i did defeat the 1st boss. really fun there. my hope is there are tougher enimies late ron along with better weapon paths that dont break in 2 rooms. main complaint i have so far is really the weapon system. like to see maybe more random mobs be able to drop em(which they might late rin the game, this just based off 3 levels!). Uno de mis favoritos sin duda alguna.. Upon first delve into the castle I'm greeted with monsters, traps, shopkeepers and treasure. It's everything you might want in a rogue-like.

Third delve, there's a new snake monster, but everything else is the same. No new items, monsters, traps, nor treasures. Those few items I can buy are getting annoying as well since I have to keep rebuying them, they break quickly. The ones to locate the princess also disappear fast, meaning I'm just searching through this large castle aimlessly.

Combat is very weak. Just walk up to monster and mash the button. No variety.

The game lacks purpose and the feeling of accomplishment.. It's good, but not Fallout 4 good.
. its a cool game. i just wish people would play online. i havent been able to play this game online because no one is on. other then that i like the game. add me for some king lucas online :). Very impressed by the way the devs handled a recent problem whereby on entering a room it froze and I couldn't load the level again. They replied to me quickly and worked on an update that solved the problem. Keep up the good work.. the combat really holds this game back. swining your sword is pretty clunky and after playing games like rogue legacy it's just not worth the time.. this game is alright, however it is more suited towards childen then a old idiot like me.
however it isn't even that bad of a game. it is flawed very badly, however it is definity a good game.
its almost endless dungeon exploration makes it pretty nice to explore. it should really be a 3D dungeon roaming game instead of being a 3D side scroller game.


i wouldn't recommend it myself, however it is a good game for kids, so i will give it a up vote. I usually would try to write a longer in-depth review, but this isn't worth the effort. It's so frustrating to play this game, you can only jump one height high, there's no way to jump less high to evade stuff above you (just an example of what's terrible). Booooring platforming, lots of keys needed + when you die nothing respawns leading to booooooring revisiting of places a dozen times till you finally get through some annoying spot/have enough keys. The 5 types of enemies I encountered so far required me to use the complex technique of button mashing. All of them. Some took more hits than others for a real change.
Excuse me, but I feel it's wrong to dedicate more full sentences to this game so...

-swords breaking so fast they must be made of wood
-boring find dozens of keys to open dozens of doors and cages that all look the same - "gameplay"
-boring artstyle
-boring jokes
-it's so boring I couldn't spend more time on this, it's awful

I cannot recommend buying this game under any circumstances. Avoid. this. "game".
I literally had more fun writing this review than playing the game. King Lucas is a chore to play.
I can't say anything positive about it. Who tf uses the X button on a controller to jump?
NO I won't spend more time trying this, I'd rather get a depression for an actual reason and not from this
